Weird --maybe Kirk has clue on this one but I'm lost.
Have small list of stocks in china that I have brother-in-law watch for movement in their markets and stock above (noted a while back in china thread was one on them) Ok I get email from brother in law on movement and look all over on Reuters-bloomingburg-yahoo and no news and stock still @ 27 cents which it has been for long time--then I stumble on this in bisuness week--
The Board of Directors of A-S China Plumbing Products Ltd. resolved to pay the second interim dividend of $0.0684 per share (or HKD 0.5335 per share), payable on September 28, 2007, to those persons registered as shareholders of the Company on September 24, 2007. The Second Interim Dividend will be paid in Hong Kong Dollars and the value of the Hong Kong Dollar shall be calculated at the exchange rate of $1 to HKD 7.8. The Register of Members of the Company will be closed, for the purpose of determining shareholders' entitlement to the Second Interim Dividend, from September 19, 2007 to September 24, 2007 (both days inclusive).
--so I found reason and look to buy this morning and pick up 6 cents on 27 cent stock and good possiblity of stock increasing.
Can't get an ask price quote on any of my accounts--so I think I'll just buy a few shares at market and see what price I get. I use my amerprise account and put in buy @ market for 999 shares (reason for that figure is they have odd rule on account--I get 10 free trades a month but anything over 1000 shares in one stock they tack on 3 cents a share--not good on 27 cent stock)
so I put in order and rather than nrmal few seconds it take about 10 minutes to fill order--and comes back I bought @ 44 cents a share. Figure I was just a tad late and it had been hit already--just get home and pull look on yahoo and its got stock moved from 27 cents today to 44 cents--then I see volumn on day--999 shares (all mine)
What gives--only thing I can figure is they adjusted price per china markets:shrug:
