It is a funny thought to think I am turning to this kind of board for this kind of help, but I am in a bind and I know how willing to help everyone is here. So anyway here it goes, I am a 24 year old University of Maryland graduate with a degree in Economics and I am looking for a job along the lines of finance. I just recently got my Series 7, but the company that sponsored me can not afford to keep me with everything going on here in New York City. So I was hoping someone here might know of any possibilities of any job openings or people I could maybe speak to. I am willing to relocate for the right opportunity (and would love to go back to Las Vegas where I used to live). So any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Best of luck to you, cavs. Right now all you can do is go beat on every door out there. I have had to lay off 3 people this week. That's a big number since there are only 9 of us.

Good luck.

Cav With Vegas and New York backround I doubt if you would want to be in Ky however there are 2 large insurance agency's that look for people with exactly your backround.
If it would be a consideration fax me resume(in profile)and I will see it gets to the right people. They each have several agents knocking down some big #'s.If area is out of question look for some large multiline brokerage agency in area of interest.
CAUTION Would not seek employment with captive insurance companys who have ads everywhere.Make sure it is an established multiline brokerage who pay you a quaranteed salary plus commission. Will be lots of hours and hard work initially but in later years you can put it on cruise.

Although I appreciate the response, I don't think Kentucky is exactly where I am looking to go. It would probably be a nice change of pace, but not the best option right now....thanks though.
