Darlington, a pretty straight forward track to cap. One of the few tracks where qualifiying position is vital. Only so many lines that a driver can take on the racetrack makes passing very difficult. So the better you are to start the race, the better you are going to be at the end of the race.

With that being said, my favorite to win the race can be no other than Jeff Gordon. (Again) Well, no reason trying to force myself to bet a longshot when Gordon has been so dominant.

Now that is not to say that he cant be beat, because there are some cars out there with value, and I will explain that.

A car I have had my eye on during early sessions, is Steve Park. Has run good when they have had the chance to run. Out of the 13th slot, it isnt too far out for Park to claim victory. I have him at 18-1 odds, but I will shop around.

I again like Jerry Nadeau to run up front. With Gordon and Nadeau running good together, they are likely to help each other out on the race track, these two are a force to be reckoned with, and add T LaBonte with his strong run last week, and they may have a 3rd to help out at times.

But I really like the Dodge this week. As Neemer posted, the other drivers know that they have the most horses, and this could be a Dodge week. My favorite Dodge is Sterling Marlin, mainly because he is starting right up front. But also look for Bill Elliott to have a decent run today.

Simply on value, I think I will place win bets on the following...

Gordon 5-1
Park 18-1
Elliott 30-1
Marlin 12-1

MATCHUPS

Nadeau over Mayfield -130

Harvick over kenseth -115

Elliott over Skinner -135

Rusty Wallace over Stewart +120 ( Because Rusty races well here, is starting ahead of Stewart, and there is good value here)

GOOD LUCK!

Agree with both you and Neemer. For the win.
Marlin a must at 12-1 and 14-1 VIP the 14-1.
Park 18-1 Gordon 5-1. You know Gordon at 5-1 is good. It easly good be 3-1. A long shot Waltrip 40-1.
Match ups. Marlin over Benson. Gordon over Stewart, Park over Harvick. Park over Mayfield. Agree Harvick over Kenseth. & Nadeau over Mayfield.
Best of luck to us all.

One to many cautions. Dam Park was strong. You can see when cars are set up for long runs and short runs, what can happen. Did any of you ever think what a pound of air pressure in your tires could do?
Well between here and sandogs thread looks like I snuck out at 5 and 2 with matchs. But played three to win Park, Marlin, and Gordon. So got by with just a little extra but not much. Chit. But the first 5 weeks show nice gain. I would believe that's true for all of us. Just got to stay after it. Next week don't matter what you drive. It's if you like to bang and push. Bristol. I love it. Fenders will get beat in good.
