Exactly, I don't know whether to be happy to get him out of the college game or upset that they are getting out before getting hit with violations.

Can't wait to see the epic Pet Carrol perplexed face that he use to display with the Jets and Pats.

Scott4USC has just been put on suicide watch:mj07:

Typical, coach bails out right before the NCAA lays the smackdown on them and he can say he had nothing to do with it. Unlike Calipari, at least he won't put another university on probation.

I will start by saying I am white and don't want to offend anyone but this is just me.

I think the "Rooney Rule" is more offensive than it is helpful.

The Seahawks are going to interview Leslie Frazier even though it is a known done deal with Pete.

This is a 100% joke.

The rule was put in place so minorities would have a fair chance a jobs, I GUESS. How is what Seattle is doing giving someone a chance anyway?

Dennis Green told the Cowboys that he was not going to be the black guy just to fill the rule when everyone knew they were hiring Parcells.

Is the NFL that racist these days that they still need a rule to force owners to interview minorities????

Is it just me?

This is not a done deal and hasnt been

confirmed.

Carrol wants to be coach and President with full control. Seattle apparantly aint too enthused with that.

If I was the black coach asking to be interviewed

when Pete C has agreed in principal, there is no way I allow them to use me as a pawn to meet the requirements of the Rooney rule.

fawk that

talk about a slap in the face.

At least pretend the guy has a chance at the job.

I think you are wrong about the NFL being racist actually.

I think its actually opposite, you have these guys like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson who go around and complain theres not enough black coaches in the NFL.

I think the main one is Dungy.

I don't think the NFL is racist at all, I think its people like them who make it out that way when they are the ones turning it into a race issue.

Believe me, these owners are about winning and making money, I am willing to bet they could care less the color of their head coach.

How come theres no rule in the NBA that you have to let white guys try out since theres hardly any white americans any more? How is that any different from the argument made for black head coaches?

Give me a break.

I like that idea.

Something tells me the white guys will need
more tats to compete though.

You'd take the interview for $25K, which is probably less than what they had to pay Frazier to take it.

are you sure you get paid for interviewing ?

who came up with that idea.

I think I would have to rethink my refusal to interview and start negotiations at say 100,000
