Hey guys,

Cart series has started a few months ago and i like that series too! (well all series with an engine are interesting to me!) Even if it is much more difficult to handicap than in F1, i can give you some picks if i find any books(?) with head to head matchups. I've been following that one for 7 years so i am not as much sharp as in F1 but i get plenty information about each race so if anybody is interested....

In fact, the season has started on March 11 in Mexico and there are 21 races during the season. Only two races has gone so far so we have plenty of time to make up on these. Next raceis on april 29, the Firestone Firehawk 600 at Texas Motor speedway. More info to come!

I will take a look at it with you. However you are correct. They don''t seem to have a pattern to Cart as Nascar and F1. But you spot something. You put it here. Were all big boys and can deside to play or not.

I'm interested in seeing what you have 1837. Djv.. as far as us all being big boys and deciding what to do.. and how to play.

I'm sure going to listen to your intuition in the future. I have been too fast and casual with my play the past few weeks. Seems like I had the worst weekend in motor racing that I have had so far. And lost on the last Nascar. Guess I got spoiled with 1837's picks the past few weeks!

I'm 49 but have been a bit irresponsible with my winnings the past few weeks. Did really great about two weeks ago and blew it on aussie football last weekend. So THAT'S why they call it down under. I was up quite a bit till I played a number of games really big in a parlay. Now I'm done down under where I started!

Took my Dad to lunch Saturday (he's a retired Methodist minister as I told you in another string). Didn't make it to church Sunday.. was too busy thinking about golf and other sports.. And also had to go into the office to see an emergency patient! I'm a chiropractor.

Anyway...this is all off-topic. I am intersted in learning about CART. And will follow your lead 1837 and will provide input as I find it.

Thanks

AzRusty... (the wayward preacher's kid)

AzRusty, at last some one who can help with my old bones. Pinched nerves next. Sounds like you may be taking some flyers. By that I mean you get a little up and take a shot at something your not to sure of. That would tell me your money management if you use it may need a looking at. Please take none of the above as me being a all wise man. You just started doing some of this, as you said a month back. Well have we all been where you are and back a few times. But We come to understand our units of play and that money management. Is only way you survive short and long term. I know we have those here that will tell you have fun don't worry. Im not one of those. There are also guys here that have formulas that are hard work (like Fletcher). You would be takeing a big step up. You have to understand as a Fletch would tell you. Do not enter this zone unless you understand the pit falls.
I will shut up now. but if I can help or someone else you want to ask. They will give you great ideas. Also many articals on the home page tell you how it is and what to watch for. See now I typed to long and my old wrist hurt.

Well, as far as money management goes. I generally try to place a bet no higher than two to five percent of my total balance. ie if my balance were 400 I would be making bets in about the 8 increment level.

But as has happened many times.. I tend to occasionally forget the rules that I have learned so hard and then bet high on a few games that I think have great potential.

I think I screwed up this past week by having really won a lot the week before.. got a bit careless and then started branching out. Playing way too many games.
Rugby, aussie football and soccer. I cruised a few UK sites that suggested specific plays with varying increments with different games. 7/10, 5/10, 8/10 etc.
I played quite a few soccer games like this and well.... when you are upping your number of games even with small increment bets (my unit was only 3 for these as in three DOLLARS) when you lose quite a number of the higher increment bets it can add up rather quickly!

Oh well...it's back to very conservative play for awhile. I know the rules. I just tend to get wild and careless when I do well and then it's back to starting over small again with fewer games.

Thanks for the advice...

As far as your old creaking bones. Wish I could help with the arthritis or pinched nerves. I'm a lot better at being a chiropractor than I am at doing this stuff! I've been practicing 20 years in June but only been doing this stuff since Sept. of last year.

Good luck to everyone

AzRusty

Az, you got it by the tale. We all did what you did then said wait a second. You said it above you know what to do. After all I been trying for 35 years. Started with 3 dollar 3 team parlayes. That was all the extra cash I had at that time.
