They actually gave up quite a bit for a player that they really didnt need. Blake Dewitt has been doing an adequate job. The two players they gave up are quite good.

I am not familiar with the guys they gave up...as I do not follow alot of the West coast teams...but Blake will definatley bring more offense to the team...Blake is batting .289 with 11 homers and 58 RBIs, and he has been Cleveland?s most clutch player, batting .398 with runners in scoring position.

I kinda like the deal. I agree with azjeff about Dewitt, but he has tapered at the bat lately although his glove is top notch.

I wish they would give up on LaRoach (sp). He's not the answer.

Also, couldn't they throw in Andrew Jones and even pay all of his salary.

Dodger fans aren't the greatest, maybe only slightly better than Tampa Bay or Nationals fans, but in all my years I've never seen a player get booed. Not to this extent. They just don't care enough.... But Andrew Jones is really getting it big time. It's embarassing. He deserves all of it as he is terrible, but he needs to be sent down and out. The experiment is over and he's not breaking out of it anytime soon.

Also, Colletti has to go. His two big aqcuisitions of Jason Schmidt and Andrew Jones are horrible. He's done nothing. Time for me to take over.

The two minor leaguers they gave up are going to be good, one is going to be a closer and the other a catcher which the dodgers dont really need however i think they could have gotten more than Blake. He is a first half player and seems to struggle in second halfs

May be one of those deals that actually do help each team. Tribe was wise to deal Blake at this time, his value has never been as high as it is now.
