On the course!
I can't think of one pitcher who has ever high-fived his manager for going out and getting him.

If Snell stays in and gives up those two runs, guys would be screaming, "why the fuck was he still in there!!!"

Lose/lose situation.

I get your point but based off his body of work until that point you have to make an educated decision. What would people have said or thought if you left him in and he gave up the runs? That?s hard to say

Betts 0-2 2k hit under .200 with .218 vs lhp
Seager 0-2 2k couldn't touch snell
Turner 0-2 2k couldn't touch snell
Muncy 0-2 1k hey..a guy who put the ball in play

Leaving in snell was a no-brainer esp vs Betts
When the other team kills rhp and fastball pitchers...and they're jacked up when you make the move

It likely isn't the right move

And....viola...series over

Only prayer is that Roberts one ups him with Jansen in the 9th

Can't argue with any of it.

Yep. All of that. And the guy he brings in had given up a run in 6 consecutive games. I've played enough ball to know that every Dodger hitter was saying, please take this guy out and we'll have a chance. Bellinger said the players on the bench were shocked when they pulled him. These managers overthink and over manage. How many times do we see these idiots think they have to bring in their relievers? Cost him the world series. Stupid MF'er....

I get all the analytics and numbers

But all those mean is what's happened in the past.

Just watch the game and action that's happening in real time.....he was in total control, had LA confused and guessing, they weren't squaring anything up, they weren't battling and fouling off a bunch of pitches, he wasn't working deep into counts........could he give up a 2 run homer and fall behind? Sure, but it would have been Betts FIRST home run off a lefty all year.

I'm leaving in snell to face Betts and likely seager no matter what.

Worst part is.....he goes to Anderson instead of Castillo (not even used) or fairbanks or loup (lefty matchup vs betts/seager/muncy....possible walk to Turner)

He out Roberts, Dave Roberts

Bottom line - Snell was the one Rays pitcher who dominated the Dodgers.

I like the Dodgers and am happy for them and Kershaw.

MLB Network interviewed Cody after the game...

Go watch it he LAUGHED when they asked him what did you think when they pulled Snell with one out and after the single. HE LAUGHED. The Dodgers knew they had beaten the Rays bullpen. Game over.
