Really, I'm probably more excited to watch this one than the heavyweight bout saturday. This is going to be a high action fight between two skilled guys who can both box and can both punch.

In his last fight with Mayweather, Castillo lost a UD 115-111 twice, 116-111 once. He's had one fight since while Mayweather has been inactive.

First off, I always like the loser of a close decision in a rematch.

Here, you're also talking about a tough cat who knows how to fight and can knock your ass out. 42 KO's in 46 fights [edit: 46 wins. His record stands at 46-5-1]. In their first fight, he was MORE ACTIVE and MORE ACCURATE by compubox numbers.

I think that first fight was maybe a case of all the judges and all the fans being familiar with Mayweather. They'd seen him undress Diego Corrales in his previous Nevada fight, which was one of the most impressive boxing exhibitions I've ever seen. Not a great fight, but a great performance by Mayweather.

Some people even had Castillo winning that first one. I can't remember how I had it (I really need to start saving my cards).

Anyway, I know I throw a lot of fight dogs out there, but this is one I really really feel good about. A great price on Castillo.

And if you're not going to bet Castillo, I'd highly recommend NOT betting Mayweather. This is not the fight to be laying big juice.

Castillo +240.

On the lake. Setting hooks!
First of all, let me make it clear. I'm not betting on the fight. I thought Castillo won the first fight. He out & out got robbed. I believe Mayweather got lazy and cocky while trainning. He thought all he had to do was show up and he would win. Well he did, but it was gave to him. He knows it and his team knows it.

Now with all that said. I believe Mayweather wins this fight. Mayweather is a very good boxer with very fast hands. And also has a very good chin. He has the talent & tools to change his stlye if he has too. And I believe Mayweather and his camp after reviewing the last fight on film. And realizing that they got lucky. They will make the nessasary adjustments. They understand that Castillo is for real and very dangerous. I do not believe Castillo has the physical tools to do anything differant this fight than in the first fight. He will continue to come forward throwing hard punches hoping to wear Mayweather out. It worked the first fight in my opinion. But I believe that old nemises of Mexican fighters will cost Castillo this fight. That in my opinion is SPEED & MOVEMENT. I don't believe Mayweather knocks him out. Castillo has too good a chin for that. So I'm going with Mayweather by decision.

be careful

be careful

4 of castillo`s 5 losses have been by k.o or t.k.o.....i don`t think mayweather was as focused the first time as he should have been....have a feeling he`s focused this time.....could this be another diego corrales blow-out....probably not ......but,i think mayweather will adjust....not sure castillo can.....castillo,in my opinion, absolutely won the first one...i can`t believe thaey have laila ali, christy martin-mia st covergirl and paul spadafora as main ppv draws, and we get this caliber card for free.....amazing...

I had it 115-114 Castillo. I might have been a little too nice to Castillo early on.

You know what, though, I think if the ref is going to allow the holding and hitting, the judges need to score it. To an extent, that was an inside fight and Castillo was winning on the inside.

At the end of the fight you asked me which guy I would rather be, I would have picked Castillo (ignoring the decision, just looking at punishment). I think he took a lot less punishment, but looked a lot worse taking it.

Can't feel too bad about getting on this dog. He'd beat Mayweather in LA, I think.

Great card for HBO.
