A thread the other day talked about how football season was almost upon us. It will once again be time to quit hating each other because we view each other as 'left' or 'right' wing and time to start hating each other for what teams we support (the way God intended)
With that in mind, I thought some might be interested in this change on TV for this upcoming year.

CBS has eye on NFL switch
Nantz, Gumbel could be at center of move
Jim Nantz and Greg Gumbel could be switching places in CBS' NFL lineup.
Is another wind of change about to blow through CBS Sports' NFL coverage?
Word is suits at the Eye may be close to moving Greg Gumbel into the studio to host "The NFL Today." The current host of the show, Jim Nantz, would shift to a regular play-by-play spot.
If Gumbel, now CBS' No. 1 NFL play-by-play voice, were to move into a pre- and postgame role, it would mark his return to "The NFL Today." Gumbel hosted the show from 1990-93. It was during that time that he forged a strong, and highly entertaining, alliance with Terry Bradshaw (now at Fox), who, at the time, was CBS' No. 1 studio analyst.
Nantz has a solid football play-by-play background. He was CBS' No. 1 college football voice (1989-90) before moving into the network's NFL booth in 1991. Two years later, Nantz was elevated to CBS's No. 2 NFL broadcast team. He still is CBS' featured college hoops play-by-play voice teamed with Billy Packer.
If CBS makes the Gumbel/Nantz switch, will Dick Enberg be elevated to the network's No. 1 broadcast team and join Phil Simms? Or will this literally be a straight swap of chairs, with Gumbel moving into Nantz's "The NFL Today" anchor position seat and Nantz getting a seat next to Simms in the broadcast booth.
A Gumbel/Nantz swap would mark the second big offseason NFL move by CBS Sports. The suits could not reach a financial agreement with Deion Sanders to return to "The NFL Today." Sanders was replaced by Shannon Sharpe.
