CFB YTD -36.5 units

Taking one early while I can - notice I'm not alone

12.5 units Mia Fl -3

Stronger D and HF advantage good enough for me to make this one a big play - Canes will be desparate to erase memories of the OU debacle - love that this game comes just a few days after lackluster performance vs FIU for Miami and blowout win for A&M vs ULM

I'll be absolutely shocked if the Aggies roll out of Miami unbeaten

Back with more later this week

More thoughts on this game:

Not really sure why A&M is ranked, or the fave in this tilt - Franchione is in the midst of his 5th year as A&M HC and has yet to win an out of conference roadie, though he did squeak out an impressive W at the Alamodome against Army last year ; )

UM hungry for a signature win and the distaste from the OU loss will show tonight - A&M racking up stats against the likes of Montana State, Fresno and ULM at home, much different monster than what they will see in Coral Gables - talent is there for the Canes, but it's been grossly misused for the past few years by Larry Coker, who I felt was a complete joke - tonight begins the resurrection of the Miami program

And as always, good luck no matter which school you back

Saturday

- BC off of 3 huge ACC wins to start the season, can't help but think they will hit a bit of a lull for an upcoming 3 game stretch that includes the Black Knights, Umass and BG - Army obviously no peach but played the Deacs tough lw and should put forth an honest effort here

- Tough spot for UF today laying the big lumber - resounding win over arch-rival Tenn lw and a revenge game on deck vs Auburn - Schaeffer gets the nod for Rebs and will shake things up a bit on O imo

- Titanic BE matchup next week with USF vs WV - 'Neers will be thinking revenge while Bulls will want to validate ly's victory - not sure how either will be super-motivated today against lowly ranked OOC foes, esp since both are also coming off of pretty big wins, USF over Auburn and WV over Terps - I'll take the points in both

- UW coming out the of ringer early in season(Boise, Ohio St / USC on deck), UCLA will want to erase the memories of lw's debacle / Hogs at home vs UK also a bounceback situation, look for HUGE rushing #'s today out of Jones and McFadden - will parlay these 2 ML's

- Long trip for Baylor today as they head north to take on Buffalo, not a good spot as they await in-state rival A&M next week - was on the Bulls lw for their cover vs PSU and will back them as the dog on the ML at home today

- Also a tough spot for the Tide after the huge comeback victory over Ark on Natl TV lw - UGA basically with an off week to prepare, and Joe Pub is ALL OVER the Saban bandwagon - combine that with Richt's impressive road record at UGA and the fact that they have less room for error at this point than Bama and that's enough to make the Bulldogs a play

- Longhorns off of long trip and stress-filled win at UCF - on deck waits KSt (beat Tex 45-42 ly) and then OU - Rice is obviously horrible having lost to Nicholls St and being blown out by TTech and Baylor, but I think the 38 will be enough against a team that will have little interest in tonight's game

- Liking Stanford big tonight getting a ton of points from Oregon, and the # is only going to go up - really like the way the Cards' season has set up coming into this game - played the 1st game against UCLA and hung tough early, but the game got away in the 2nd half - Stan then had a week off to fine tune things, and got a chance to gain some confidence lw at home against SJSU winning 37-0 - Ducks come in riding high with notable performances against Hou, UM and Fresno, and may be looking ahead to next week where CAL awaits (Ducks were blown out 45-24 in ly's matchup) - dangerous spot for the Ducks who will no doubt come into this game a bit over-confident against a team that went 1-11 ly, just think that Stan is a bit improved and will give them a run for their $$ tonight in front of the home crowd

Tons of games I know - still trying to figure out exactly how I'm using 'em - at this point only played these:

5 units Army +28 -120
2.5 unit ML parlay Ark -270/UCLA -235
(to win 2.3)
.25 unit ML Buff+135/UGA+140/Mary+145
(to win 3.2)

Back in a bit as I figure out how best to use the rest of 'em - and as always, good luck no matter which sides you choose

Adding:

4 units UNC +13 -120
4 units ECU +24
4 units Ole Miss +23
4 units Buff ML +135
4 units UGA +4
2 units Rice +38

Will be playing Stanford for 8 units - line currently at 18, will use that # here, but will hold out for more as the # seems like it will rise before the late kick

Adding:

5 units LSU 2nd half under 21.5

Field was getting very chopped up at end of 1h and it has rained steadily since - will most likely continue throughout end of game

Sat -8.95 units
Week 4 +3.55 units
CFB YTD -32.95 units

Stanford, up 31-24 at the half catching 19 points, loses the 2nd half 31-0 AT HOME and turns a 20+ unit week into what you see up there

Got to roll with the punches though, will continue to do so next week
