A poster who will remain nameless asked the following:

"Whats up with the clock running after a TD until the extra point"

The clock stops when the ball goes out of bounds, there is an incomplete pass, there is an injured player on the field, there is a penalty flag thrown or they need to measure to see if there is a first down, time out is called and when points are scored.

That was a mistake that the clock ran after a TD...I noticed that as well. I think the clock on TV was wrong but the "real clock on the field" was correct.

"I like the single point on missed FG's and no returns..."

A rouge, or a single point, is scored when the kicking team either punts the ball through the endzone, kicks the ball through the end zone (missed field goal attempt), or when the returning team's ball carrier puts a knee down in the end zone after fielding a punt or missed field goal.
