CFN's Early Preseason Top Ten for 2004...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. USC ? QB Matt Leinart and WR Mike Williams return and the Trojans are set to dominate for a long time.
2. LSU ? Many of LSU's best players were young and don't forget how Nick Saban has recruited the last two years.
3. Ohio State ? The Buckeyes lose a solid leader in quarterback Craig Krenzel, but plenty of young players saw time this season.
4. Georgia ? An experienced offensive line and QB David Greene's return gives the Bulldogs a lot of ammunition.
5. Oklahoma ? Heisman Trophy winner Jason White said he is returning for the 2004 season.
6. Florida State ? Love him or hate him, FSU quarterback Chris Rix is returning and he has one of the most talented backfields in the country supporting him.
7. Miami ? The Hurricanes need to figure out how to be effective throwing the ball again.
8. Florida ? The Gators showed a lot of improvement, but the pressure will be on Ron Zook to take Florida to the next level.
9. Texas ? The Longhorns have a franchise quarterback in Vince Young, but he has to become a bigger passing threat.
10. Oregon ? Weak nonconference schedule, 14 returning starters and no USC. What's not to like?
