Most thought Valuev looked much improved against Lyakhovich, he threw and landed a wider variety of punches including the uppercut which he attempted several times a round. I would think that has something to do with the early odds. But more importantly, and Helle already touched on it, is the promotion of the fight and their plans on setting up a huge fight with Wlad down the road.
DLH lost to Felix Sturm prior to the Hopkins fight, but the promotion involved made sure DLH got the "win" regardless of how bad he really got beat. Valuev fights are very hard to score, I expect this fight to be a little closer than the first, its very possible Valuev gets the decision regardless of what happens in the ring. Valuev is a much more marketable guy who sells tickets on his size alone, the powers that be are looking for Valuev win here. I rarely bet against the juice in a big fight, and this is not a good spot to go against that logic.
I already have several parlays including the Over 9.5 -425, and thats the only wager I'm focused on in this fight...until the decision props come out of course
