NCAA YTD: 18-14 (+2.15*)
NFL YTD: 8-10 (-3.01*)

Colorado(-3)(-120)(2.50*)
- - Baylor drilled revenge minded Texas A&M all day long. Colorado is feeling good but well focused.

San Diego State(-9') over UNLV (1.5*)

- - Aztecs are in a different league than UNLV when it comes to this matchup, and the frustrations of their 0-3 start had better crush any notions of complacency on this short road trip.

Indiana(-6') over Illinois (1*)
- - Kudos to HC Terry Hoeppner for fashioning a team and a season on the verge of some distinction. The befuddled Illini are back on the road and needing to turn things around in a big way while tinkering with personnel, combinations and special teams. Pleased to see my initial take on the game supported by angles from my research.
One supportive angle - Determined to make amends

Southern Mississippi(-12') over Houston (1*)
- - Most likely for bad but possibly for good, every team impacted by hurricane Katrina had to emerge as affected - for the long haul - in a significant way at the other end. Off a rugged performance at Alabama, I've been tracking a solid Golden Eagles squad as my choice for a team that has definitely come together in a special way off the disaster, and what I've been seeing, watching and reading has been supportive all the way . . . Home energy lifts the good guys in this one.

PARLAY: Colorado(-3) w/ San Diego State(-9') w/ Indiana(-7) w/ Southern Mississipi(-12') for 0.50* @ 13/1

Boston College(-7) over Virginia (1*)
- - The Cavaliers under HC Al Groh have lamely tried countless times to step up in conference road spots just like this. I was sorely tempted to think they could do it last week at Maryland, but I wisely thought better of it while favored by more than a field goal. Accomplishing the feat against a rock-ribbed Tom O'Brien team that is ranked 4th in rushing defense (and didn't get its job done hosting Florida State) would just blow me away.
Bc's attitude not cavalier

- - I had looked at ECU(-5') and decided to pass, but loophole sold me with his post on the total.
