I said on an earlier post that once one airline started with the charge for a second bag others would follow....well US Air announced $25 for a second bag....multiple exemptions do exist. I realize this is a rant but....I'm stuck....airlines REQUIRE that I check one of my bags that I use to carry so I wait to se what happens when my favorite airline joins in. There must be some other way to make money to include enforce the bag weights and carry-on (can you imagine what people will carry on now) rules that apply.

US also boned their entire FF program by doing away with the 500 mile minimum for short flights and are instead giving actual miles flown.

people are leaving US Air in droves right now.

Above the Clouds....
Just flew back from Mex on Sun and friends that were with us were charged $51 for bags being 7# over!

We flew United and were 2# over and didn't get charged. They were on Amer. Air.
