Perhaps you caught New York Democrat Charles Rangel on Hannity and Colmes last night. Rangel, you will recall, is one of only 11 members of the U.S. House of Representatives who voted ?no? on a resolution to support our troops in Iraq. Last night Rangel said that the American military was over there to ?bomb women and children.? Remember ? if the Democrats had control of the House right now this buffoon would be the chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, the chief tax writing and policy arm of the congress.

I GUESS OUR TROOPS NEED MORE TRAINING

The great American patriot Charles Rangle?s statement reminded me ? we?re getting two different pieces of information from Iraqi officials late this week:

American and coalition forces are targeting innocent civilians in Iraq.
Since the beginning of the war 350 Iraqi civilians have been hilled by coalition firepower.
Only 350? That?s all? We?ve launched over 4000 bombs and cruise missiles, many aimed at civilians, and all we have to show for it is a paltry 350?

Looks like we need more practice. At least Rangel is showing his constituents that he understands and will follow his marching orders from his Iraqi controllers.

I was watching....and was very happy to see the way shawn ripped him apart. This guy said he spoke for all of his constituents. I imagine there are some very pissed off people in New York today. Think his office might have receiveced a phone call or two?

This dude and I will be carefull with my words. He can not represent many people other then his own family. I know we need some folks with other ideas. But he must be lost in space.
what in the hell was he even saying most of that show. Who in there right mind would vote for him.

interesting that he would say that; I didn't see the interview. I know that he does lean severely to the left, but I also know this guy was a decorated hero in the Korean War, so unlike a lot of these bozos, he's not all the way full of bs, he actually served rather valiantly. Suprising, huh? When Freeze posted this and I read the title, I didn't realize that the "Patriot" part was going to be tongue in cheek, rather I thought he was going to talk about his war career which would arguably make him a great patriot. If I'm not mistaken, Rangel is also in favor of the draft, and he might have even tried to introduce legislation on this recently. Ironic stuff!

Even for rangel I am surprised he said that because he was in the military.
It never surprises me that politicians & celebrities keep putting their foot in their mouth.

Did you see the New York City Councilman that they had on last night?

That makes two successful political suicide attempts in two consecutive nights on Hannity and Colmes.

Hannity kept asking him: "Do you love your country?" And this guy refused to answer the question. Plus....he said that Rangel was right in everything he said.

"the bunker"
everything

everything

and i mean everything boils down to race with those 2 guys....rangel wanted a re-institution of the draft because he thought there were to many minorities in the service(that`s an over simplification but that was the gist of his arguments)......it seems like many go into military service for opportunities and career development not realizing that it`s not just a job.....with it goes the obligation of possibly having to step into harms way if the powers that be deem it necessary.....and whatever their motivation,i salute them.....a tough time to be a soldier....

It is true about Rangel. He won the Bronze Star and Purble Heart in Korea. Helped save 5/6 guys who were also injured. Don't know any other details. But that war had to left such a hate for war he is now a big dove. This can happen to those who had real bad time in other wars. I mean my idea of war and someone who never was in one will and schould be differant. But he is saying things so extreem. I find them strange.
