charleston's been on fire since their crapfest on valentine's day. their only loss since then being to chattanooga who couldn't hit the broad side of a barn vs uconn. i like them getting points here.

i also like davidson getting a handful on the west coast tonight. they either get blown out or win SU.

I'm liking C of C as well... just can't get past the idea that the line stinks. Why is Richmond favored?

final decision...

final decision...

Charleston (+4.5) vs Richmond: Statistically looking at these teams I thought this line should basically be a pick'em, but the public seems to be all over Richmond, moving the line from 4 to 4.5 In Charleston, you have one of the best road teams in the country. Charleston is 12-4 on the road, losing to Chattanoga in the conference tourney finals, a team they had already beaten once, Western Carolina, Citadel, and North Carolina. . four decent road losses. Charleston is also a solid 11-6 ATS on the road. Charleston also has five solid starters, as all five average at least 9 points per game, that means a strong balanced attack. Amazingly, Charleston has played better on the road than they have at home averaging 79 ppg on the road compared to 77 ppg overall, shooting 48% from the field compared to 47% overall, 39% from 3-pt range compared with 38% overall. Their defense has struggled on the road, but have been much much better as of late giving up 65 ppg, under 40% shooting from the field, and only 26% from 3-pt range, all of those gams coming on the road as well. Charleston should dominate the rebounding category tonight, always an important factor when playing on the road. I think this team is playing very inspired ball after just missing the dance. I think this should be a very close game throughout with Charleston having a great chance to pull the upset. Take the points.

richmond. They dont score much so their line is always low. However, richmond is a better team and will come out of this one alive. If you want to be safe just take it on the ML. Chattanooga comparison with UCONN is irrelevant...Charleston would get their asses whooped as well, and so would richmond.

GL either way

Richmond is the fav because this is the NIT. Home teams are almost always the fav. Richmond will get most of the calls tonight and they are playing better than they were a month ago. I look for this to be a low scoring game. Most C of C games are above this total. Only two lower in the last twenty and both went under. It's hard for me to go against the home team in a NIT game but I might make this the exception. Of course Richmond could win and still not pull the 4'.
