Charlie hasn't said yes or no officially yet, he's to meet with his team as they prepare for their bowl game, UL has a lil more $$$ to dangle to keep him plus the facilities and a stable Athletic dept, whereas Tenn has some dysfunct still going on, heck they had Bruce Pearl who was a cheater before he came there from UW and whereever he was before hand in BBk, then they brought in Lane Kiffin (OMFG) then Dooley who wasn't ready nor was he given any tools to stick around, it takes 3-4 yrs to build, not 1-2 yrs folks, perhaps Butch Davis would be good for the Vol program since they had Bruce Pearl?

NO!

UT needs someone with integrity and stability and there are some very good coaches still out there, the best on paper is in the SEC, Mullen at MSU, they don't have the bucks to compete here with UT and his buyout isn't as bad as what they have to pay Dooley I believe, I could be wrong on the money, but also some rumblings that Iowa is ready to give Kirk the heave ho and he needs change of scenery. The OC at Clemson is still available, so are a few number of lower D1 level coaches who did well this year, including Sam Houston's HC.

I hope for the Vol supporters, they get someone the Admin can be patient with and allow them to grow with the program, rather than looking for a quick fix.

GL VOLS!!!

From Mike Rutherford's Twitter account (Owner/author of Louisville Cardinals site CardChronicle.com):

Charlie Strong: "This was the toughest decision I've ever had to make in my 29 years of coaching. As I talked with my family, it became crystal clear that I needed to stay at Louisville. My enthusiasm and my heart are with the University of Louisville. I was 9-10, and (A.D. Tom Jurich) hands me an extension. How do you walk away from someone who trusts and believes in you? I don't think I put my career on the line at all by choosing Louisville over Tennessee."

Stole this from Twitter: *Ring "Front Desk. May I help you?" "Does the hotel offer turn down service?" "No, I'm sorry sir. But I hear Tennessee does. Call them."

At this rate Tennessee is on track to be coached by an actual volunteer.
