3 or 4 game chase

All chases must qualify by parameters set by a computer program. Level of strength determines which teams qualify.

Goal is to win 1 unit on each series, your standard chase.

I want to see how this program does in the 2nd half of the season, so ill start just before the all-star break and continue after the break, documenting the results here.

Program chase: 0-0 (0.00 units)

Chase 1
a) Braves (-1.20) to win 1 unit

Chase 2
a) Mets (-1.65) to win 1 unit

Chase 3
a) Reds (-1.25) to win 1 unit

Chase 4
a) Texas (-1.50) to win 1 unit

Chase 5
a) Washington -1 (-1.60) to win 1 unit

Will sometimes use the (-1) line on the first game of a chase, when the line is over (-2.00), as is the case with Washington tonight, if Washington wins by 1, the game is a Push and the series is cancelled.

Program chase: 2-0 (+2.00 units) thru friday

pending chases for saturday

Mets
Washington
Texas

i did not get to update earlier today but this is a standard chase thread, looks like the Mets and Washington both won saturday, so those chases ended with a 1 unit win. Still have Texas pending, currently tied at 3 in the bottom of 8th..

BOL with your program. I've done some chases in the past....some worked..some not. They're fun to do. Always action goin on with chases....but, in the end it always came down to 1 or 2 times the chase going too far and thrashing the entire bank roll you've accumulated little by little.

Good luck with this system Grinder! I've been playing it for about 2 years and have found it to be profitable. Couple of thoughts from my experience...

1) Always play the action, not the listed pitcher. You're playing this system based on the teams, not the pitchers slated to start. If there is a last minute SP change, you can end up getting screwed and having your bet cancelled.

2) Sometimes it's best to wait until the second game of the series to place your bet. You end up playing less series', but you often cut your losses when the inevitable sweep hits.

3) As the season winds down, I suggest focusing only on the teams still in the playoff hunt. I've been burned the past 2 years playing teams that have been out of the running because they have simply given up on the season.

Again, good luck with the system! I'll be watching which teams you play.

Program Chase: 5-0 (+5.00 units)

Plays for the weekend series.

Giants -1 (-1.55)

Dodgers (-1.80)

Texas (-1.50)

Whitesox (waiting on line)

playing those 4 teams to win 1 unit, prepared to chase all 3 games over the weekend, if needed..

if giants win by 1 on friday, the series is cancelled with a push...

otherwise standard chase rules apply...

sure but its not a system, plays are selected from a computer program.. the program determines the series selections based on strength...

Good luck this weekend Grinder! On LAD, Tex and SF as well to start the weekend (Det also). Like I mentioned in my previous post, waiting on the outcome of the first game in most of the other series' before I make my play.

the computer program did very well last year but that was on an individual game basis.. this is the first time that ive used it in a chase format.

looks as though we won all of them.

Program Chase: 9-0 (+9.00 units)

program chases that begin on mon jukly 16

Yankees (-1.70)
Baltimore (+1.20)

those are lines for game 1

Baltimore is a 4 game series and will be chased as such, if need be.
