is there any forum out there that you can find any services (ie: the turf club analysts) picks? I have recently found the tvg network on direct tv and would like to start wagering on the horses but i have no idea how to handicap them.. can someone assist where i could go for some good info??

A lot of tracks have their own websites that have some picks and analysis on them. Might also try equibase. I think they have PP's you can puchase online.
i think brisbet.com has some picks also.do a google search lots of pay picks.fact is you won't make any money though.this game makes sports beting look easy.if your not willing to pick up a racing form learn how to handicap and put in the time and make your own desicions you best keep it to entertainment wagers.your also fighting 15-23% juice very hard to over come.don't mean to discourage you but i've been trying to figure this game out for twenty years and some day's it still doesn't make sence.enjoy the sport and good luck.

4th at s.a. lots of question marks.you got 3y.o. horses going 1 mile on turf course.5 of 8 have never run on turf.3 of 8 have never run as far as a mile.all have only a maiden win.new surface new distance all elegible to improve without notice.none look to have real great turf breeding.the seven horses trainer has one win in thirty one starts don't like that.four was just claimed in last for 10,000 and is jumping way up in class today alw 40,000 don't like that.nothing would surprize me in this race no play.will be playing s.a. today day and will post if anything comes up just started looking at them.

Streakednorth looks like another sound investment from leading trainer Doug O'Neill's barn, tagged last out for 25K out of a maiden win at this distance on dirt in her first ever two turn race, and entered at this non-winners of 2 starter allowance level where she can't be claimed, with Doug's #1 jock Tyler Baze in the saddle, and with the perfect style for this course. Opening at 6/1, she's a good bet from many aspects

actually they have been pretty good with their free selections today. out of 5 races they have 3 winners 1 place and 1 OOP. However i have been listening to the commentators on tvg and am down 200.00 (story of my life HA!!) but i should be able to make that up in sports tonight. but they have been real good with their free selections so far.
Just was this thread, Azjeff, you still interested in playing horses? If so post here again. Pick services for horses are a joke, you will lose everything following them day in and day out. A better idea is getting a piece of software and learning to use it correctly, for 50 cents or a dollar you can download PP files and they do ALL the math for you, you still have to decipher those figures, but it makes it much easier. Most programs will pick horses for you as well, but the one I use makes better Past performances than you can buy anywhere. I don't really use its selections, but I do look at them for reference. The software I use was less than $200, I have stuck more than that in an evening at the OTB without blinking and eye, hell can spend almost that much on beer when there is four of us and I'm buying. Anyway don't use a pick service or even the free picks, get software you like and can learn to use, your way ahead in the long run.
