Cubs/Diamondbacks-Think the Cubbies will make it 2 in a row against the struggling D-Backs tonight. Cub's starter Jeff Samardzia is coming off a nice outing @ Coors Field in Colorado allowing just 1 run on 4 hits in 7 & 1/3 innings. He has pitched well away from Wrigley this year as his 2.56ERA would indicate. Shockingly, Chicago has been doing better @ the plate recently hitting .281 in their last 6 games. They should score against the D-Back's Ian Kennedy who has been a disappointment this year with a record of 3-7 & an 5.29ERA. In Kennedy's last 3 starts he is 0-3 allowing 13 runs on 23 hits in 18 innings of work. Zona not hitting either averaging just over .200 in heir last 10 games. Cubs take this one 6-3:0074
Reds/Giants-Taking San Fran for only one reason.....CHAD GAUDIN!!! :yup Gaudin has been brilliant all season long & especially strong in his last 3 starts in which he is 2-0 with a 0.95ERA allowing just 2 runs in his last 19 innings of work. Has allowed only ONE(1) run in his 3 Home starts this year. Red's Starter Mike Leake is tough as well but of the last 15 hits he has given up 6 of them have left the Ballpark. If the Giants can just scratch a couple of runs across tonight, they have a good shot in this affair. No Buster Posey for the Giants so I'll just play them in a parlay w/Chicago.
