I've been an Eagles fan for 43 years going to way back when they really sucked eggs with Pete Liske, Tom Woodeshiek, etc., saw my first MNF with them as a huge dog beat the Giants like 17-14 or 13-10 one night when I was 10. I was on cloud nine!!
Now with Chip there, I have no good vibes, he'll change their offensive scheme, bring in his own people but I think there is going to be some puppet master stuff going on from behind the scenes. I don't like this GM, Howie, he drafts off of numbers not talent meaning he goes to a combine and sees a kid run fast or jump high or bench 1000 lbs, and he moves him up the board, case and point, Watkins, a 25 year old OL from Baylor out of college = he could of went anywhere in the draft after the 3rd round, but the Eagles took him quickly and he's done what for Philly?
Chip, if he's getting some clout and personnel pull, needs some offensive linemen and in a hurry and two ball hawks and trade away Nnamdi & Cromartie, because they are worthless but could bring an extra pick or two in this coming draft which is rich in linemen on both sides of the ball and some receivers, but weak at RB and QB - hope would be to sign a vet QB to help work with Foles, who I think has great upside and someone like Chip could make this kid a better than ave QB. When he got protection and had a couple games under his belt he got better.
Defensively they are a mess and if I remember right, Oregon didn't really stop anyone from scoring, other than one sided offense in K State - Klein stunk up the joint in that fiasco of a BOWL GAME!
