With so many reasons to like the Red Legs today, it's hard to know where to begin. Guess I will start off with the pitching match-up which, like most factors in this game, is a HUGE edge for Cincinnati. Red's starter Mat Latos is still pitching superbly & has given up just 4 runs in his last 20 innings of work. Latos has NOT lost in his last 20 starts for the Reds while Cincy has gone 17-3 in those affairs. I like Cubs starter Jeff Samardzija but Chicago is just 4-9 in his starts this season. Samardzija has good stuff but like most of the Cubs pitchers does not receive any run support what so ever. The Chicago Cubs are hitting just .158 in their last 8 games @ Wrigley & have a 7-21 record against division opponents so far this year.
