Both teams lost so many players to transfer portal,Not playing because of NFL ramifications [ don;t want to get hurt} stars sitting out both teams nothing to play for Darrell Royal the former Texas coach once said " teams that want to be in the bowl game win. Both Texas and Michigan have really nothing to gain by playing. Their schools are getting money but both teams are out of the playoffs . Sark has many of his top star players not playing. Michigan fired its head coach and Texas has lost a few coordinators on offense and defense . Manning the Texas QB is staying and playing but a few all Americans on defense have decided not to play Hard to capp a game when you really are not sure who is stating or not playing. Texas top rb has opted not to play . But I always think of their backups . These kids get a chance to start and show everyone why they were a 5 star recruit and only a backup this year. Michigan coach had to resign so a coordinator has replace him How this teams responds in anyone Guess. I am going to take Texas -7 but I love Hill the Texas linebacker and their safety Taffe . These guys are both pro level players BUt I like Manning a lot and he is playing so being an Orange Brain washed person I''ll give the touchdown points and cheer on the Longhorns , Really should stay away from this game but can't . Hope everyone had a nice x-mas and have a Happy new Year. My grandson from Philly is here in Austin and I'm giving him my collection of baseball cards and figurines . Very tough giving them to him and his brother, My 1953 Mickey Mantle Topps baseball card . Many Mike Schmidts cards and rookie card . They leave tomorrow for Philly and giving him and his brother My whole collection . I'd rather see them enjoy them while I'm still alive Again no one should put any money on the Texas-- Michigan game So may unknowns with portal transfers players opting out not to play .
