Folks....Vegas has done this for a reason.

Bottom Line...:nono:

The Clemson Defensive Secondary is Mediocre.

BUT

Clemson has THE BEST WR corp in the Country. One of the Top 3 QB's in The Country. The Best Pure Pass Rusher in the ACC. The Best DT's in the ACC. And.....The best Offensive Coordinator in the Country.

Combine all of that with more speed at the skill positions and 85,000 screaming maniacs and you have the recipe for disaster.

Are you really playing this 15x what you play a normal game?

Yep. Keep in mind Jord, I don't put nearly what you do on my normal 1-Unit plays. However, a few times a year I go overboard and splurge when I have a serious feeling about a line. I'm not recommending anyone go over their comfort level on this play or any other based on what I think, Lord knows I'm not that good. BUT....I think this line is skewed by 7.5 points and any time I see something like that with a team that I know very, very well.....I'M JUMPING ALL OVER IT!

This line should've been Clemson -4.5 and I don't care what anybody says, you won't ever convince me otherwise.

This line is based more on the Marketability and Media-Whoring ESPN and all the others have done to try to put another FRESHMAN into the Heisman mix. Let me say this....if Marcus Lattimore running for 1200 yards and 17 TD's as a true freshamn in the SEC a few years ago didn't get him a Heisman Invite, it's ridiculous to even mention another Freshamn in the Heisman discussion. Manziel is Video game Joy-Stick! Winston???....I'm just not convinced. These are the same Commentators and NFL Scouts (McShay and Kiper) who told me two years ago that Logan Thomas was a top 5 Draft Pick (Don't piss in my face and tell me it's sweet milk)!

Winston is a special talent for sure, but he broke two tackles to throw touchdown passes against teams with defenses that would have a hard time stopping Kansas and suddenly he's the son of Joe Montana!

I would've taken Clemson as a 5* at -3. Throw in the fact that the "Experts" just won't let them live down the phrase "Clemsoning" and this thing could get really ugly, really fast.

I expect Winston will have a whole new respect for a night game in the Valley once Midnight rolls around.

Again, not recommending anyone put as much stock in it as I am, but I think the Public will be on the right side of this one.....easily.

Yikes, you must see something I don't if you really think that Clemson can blow out this Florida State team. I don't think anyone in the country could blow them out...

FSU will put up another 600 yds against that Clemson defense just like last year. Clemson D is the reason FSU is favored and will win!

For those wondering why.....


Clemson gains their passing yards by getting the ball out of Boyd's hands quickly. 73% of Boyd's completed passing yards have been from passes released within 2.5 seconds of him first touching the ball from the snap. They make their living by throwing quick outs and bubble screens that allow the speed and elusiveness of guys like Watkins and Humphries to turn a one yard pass into a 9 yard gain. Then they do it again....BEFORE you figure out what the fuck just happened!

Once, they've baited you with two or three of those, they set you up with a deep route by Watkins which 95% of the time is going to lure a safety away from the middle of the field opening up deep post options with Bryant, Humphries or Mike Williams. Or they hit you with the Delay Draw with McDowell, highly under-rated.

FSU on the other hand has accumulated a the bulk of their passing yardage by Winston having 4 - 5 seconds or more to get rid of the ball. HE WON'T HAVE THAT LONG SATURDAY NIGHT!

FSU's biggest asset in this game will be the threat of Nick O'Leary. Good run blocker, but excellent Route runner for a tight end. Probably the best I've seen since Greg Olsen in what I like to call "Gap Awareness", which is basically his ability to slightly manipulate his routes to find a 5 yard gap in the defense yet staying within his QB's target zone.

If O'Leary plays the way I expect, I see him having 6-7 catches for 80+.

But this game is going to be based on explosiveness and fast execution. Any Quarterback that sits in the pocket for 5 seconds is asking to either have his head torn off or to force a bad decision under the lights in primetime.

Senior leadership and Experience vs. Freshman Phenom???

It's funny, saw this line and like many others i immediately leaned to FSU based on the line alone - now i've seen a ton of people mention that they think FSU might be the play based on line as well - hmmmmmmm

Will prob end up laying off but i wish you luck HP

I really believe the line is where it is because FSU was off last week so better rested,had they played a game last week win or lose it would be pickem.I like Clemson too and believe fade will be on FSU.GL
