emu -2-: coming back again with the ugly-ass eagles after they lost the cover iin the closing minutes last game against ball st. with jalin thomas out for the chippewas, looks like a faceoff of two one-man teams with freshman trey ziegler vs brandon bowden. i'll take the senior at home against the freshman on the road. look inside the numbers for central's 1-7 road record and you'll find a mind-numbing .49 assists/turnovers ratio, one of the worst numbers i've seen at this stage of the season.

wisc-gb +9: trying surging gb with a number that valpo's never covered vs the phoenix. wisc-gb showed some backbone at butler friday night, coming from 21 down in the second half to come within a rimmed-out trey of tying the game in the last minute. crusaders' wood and broekhoff, team's no. 1 ans 3 scorers, have been been hobbled with hamstring and hip bruise, two injuries that require rest to improve. valpo has butler and cleveland st back on deck next week, so gotta believe that coaches will be protective of both today.

s fla +13: another fugly dog returns to our card after fading out of the money against the scarlet knights. as repulsive as the bulls appear, their play in the big east has not been without effort, as they have faced a good sample of conference bigs in their six league games and stayed within this number every time. they also have the size to bang with the moutaineers.

w va is coming off a bad loss to in-state rival marshall, and have the cards in louisville coming up on wednesday. as a matter of fact, in the next two weeks, huggy's boys will play five conference games against four ranked teams, three of them on the road. seems forgivable if they look past the bulls just a bit.
