First off I did NOT see this piece and don't see it on their webiste yet. I am usually up Sunday mornings pretty early and wanted to see this and missed it.
So, I may be speaking out of turn here but the teaser they kept running made it out like they thought the "Sex Offender" tag should be removed becasue the public is taking it in their own hands to go after these people when they move to a new neighborhood.
Not only is your license tagged, but you can be found on various internet sites it you have been convicted of a sex crime.
I don't know exactly how you get tagged as a "Sex Offender", but if there is a special designation for a sex crime against a child and somehow the system let you out of jail before you rot in the corner and the general public takes it into thier own hands to beat the shit out of you on a daily basis then I am all for it.
If anyone has a link to this story I'd like to see it.
Personally I think more vigalante justice would be a good thing in this country about now.
