Interesting bit I heard today. Most thought Venables would be a likely candidate for the Kansas State job yet as best as anyone can tell that never went anywhere.

Supposedly it is well known that Dick Vermeil will probably retire after this year. Apparently the Chiefs have their eyes set on Bob Stoops and some think it is mutual. Venables supposedly thinks - and I guess wrongly - he can get the OU job if Stoops goes.
