BENTON, La. (AP) ? A thoroughbred trainer charged earlier this year with manslaughter in a wreck that killed a woman in Arkansas has been arrested on charges he was drunk when he ran down a row of mail boxes in northern Louisiana.
Matthew Cole Norman, 38, of Haughton, was arrested Monday and booked with driving while intoxicated, hit-and-run driving, property damage and possession of the drugs Lortab and Xanax without a prescription, Bossier Parish sheriff's deputies said.
Norman faces manslaughter charges in Hot Springs, Ark., in connection with a fatal wreck last February that killed an 86-year-old woman. Arkansas State Police said that wreck happened after Norman crossed the center line of a highway and hit the woman's car head-on.
