YTD Record: 24-16 for +6.25 units


UCLA -110 (@ ASU) for 1 unit ? Adam Plutko (UCLA starter) had a rough outing last weekend but is more than capable of bouncing back. Trevor Williams (ASU starter) has been rocked even worst his last couple of outings and I expected them to move their #2 starter Kellogg up to the opening slot as he has pitched real well recently including a no hitter last weekend.

Ville -160 (vs. ND) for 1/2 unit ? not a big edge in starting pitching one way or the other as both teams? #1 guy have been decent but far from dominant. Have to look at who?s bats can generate a big inning or two and though the Cards have been weak at the dish recently, they have a lot of potential up and down their lineup and should be able to score plenty in this one.

A&M +100 (@ USC) for 1/2 unit - Gamecock offense has really struggled outside of Dantzler and Pankake. Unless their best pitcher (Belcher) is starting, he will go tomorrow, tough to back USC at this point. A&M is throwing a frosh Grayson Long that has fared well and should give them an edge over USC's starting pitcher.

1-2 yesterday only getting Ville. For Friday:

Miami +230 (@ UVa) for 1 unit ? Virginia is the better team on paper but the Hurricane starting pitcher Chris Diaz has shown he can handle potent lineups via his outings against UNC and VaTech, simply too big of a price for a game that should be close.

Arky -130 (vs. MS St) for 2 units ? big pitching edge for the home team in this one when comparing the 2 starters.

USC -165 (vs. A&M) for 1 unit ? I mentioned yesterday that the Gamecocks best pitcher is going today. Also when USC wins one like they did yesterday (the other team didn?t knock them out when they had the chance, and let USC hang in there and eventually win late), they tend to get into teams head and take at least one more game from them.

ND +160 (@ Ville) for 1/2 unit ? the two ERA leaders for each team take the mound, similar to the Miami play, should be a pretty close game so will take a shot at the decently priced dog.

2-2 yesterday getting Arky and SC but missing the dogs.

Will play UCLA today for a decent sized play (right now at a small dog at thegreek) as well as A&M at a dog price. Would also play Ville as a decent sized favorite and Miami as a dog but doesn't look like there will be lines on those 2 games.

Would guess Arky/MS St is the only game lined tomorrow. Will play Arky as a decent sized fav.

Lindgren did not pitch today. I didn't know he was hurt and did not make the trip.

Hopefully Lindgren can return soon. Graveman is the best pitcher for them, but Lindgren isn't far behind.

For Tuesday:

Ville -125 (vs. Kentucky) for 1 unit
Fullerton -125 (@ UCLA) for 1 unit - like the starting pitching edge in both of these, each of the opponents are sending a questionable starter to the mound that these clubs should be able to plate some early runs and turn it over to two reliable pens.

Thanks Hawk. Taking a pass on the one game lined today. Been a decent start to the season so far, hope to keep it going. Basically at the half way mark as there are 7 more weekends until the big conference tournies get underway.

I'll be out your way by the time the post season is being played. Will have to drag you out to your local watering hole you showed me to catch a game or two.
