YTD Record: 30-22 for +10.55 units

For Thursday:

Arky -125 (@ Bama) for 2 units - going to continue to ride the Razorback train as I feel they are rounding into the form that made them a top 5 pick at the start of the season. Bama has played better than expected and they have a good pitching staff but severely lack an offensive punch. Arkansas has a slight edge in pitching and a big edge at the plate making this a decent sized play even if on the road.

1-0 last night as Arkansas won 3-1. For today:

Vandy -155 (@ Ole Miss) for 1 unit ? Bobby Wahl is a pretty decent starter for Ole Miss but has been inconsistent. Vandy has one of the best offenses in the country and should be able to plate a few runs regardless. The one weakness of Vandy?s starter Kevin Ziomek (as well as their #2 Tyler Beede) is that their control is suspect with the amount of walks they have given up. However, plate discipline is not something Ole Miss excels in given they only average 3.5 walks per game.

Oregon -120 (@ ASU) for 1 unit - Oregon and ASU are going in opposite directions after the Ducks started the year underachieving and the Sun Devils began better than expected. Oregon is challenged offensively but is winning games with good pitching and great D. The offensive struggles by the Ducks will be helped by the fact that ASU?s not had any decent starting pitching lately in conference play.

FSU -120 (@ Miami) for 2.5 units ? Seminoles move their midweek starter Luke Weaver into the Friday night role due to his outstanding start of the year. Miami has struggled across the board in conference play highlighted by their .210 batting average and 5.57 ERA. FSU has been on a role and should continue this weekend.

May make a small play on Oregon State, but they haven't listed a starter yet would like to find that out first.

adding:

Arky -150 (@ Bama) for 1 unit - Razorbacks weren't sharp last night but still controlled the game from the start, should be more of the same in the other 2 contests in this series.

Hawk - still no baby yet but my wife is ready to get it over with. She is miserable and eating everything spicy she can get her hands on to help speed the process along.

Adding:

Vandy -155 (@ Ole Miss) for 1 unit
Oklahoma -130 (@ Texas) for 1.5 units
UCLA +110 (vs. Oregon St.) for 1/2 unit

Will also play Miami but was hoping for a bigger dog price, will wait since that is an evening game to see if it goes up at all.

For Sunday:

Kentucky +3.5 -240 (@ LSU) for 1 unit - pricey but I was going to play them straight on the money line as a dog so I'll bite here.

Vandy -1.5 +140 (@ Ole Miss) for 1/2 unit

bad day going 0-2. Kentucky loses 11-4 and was undone from the start giving up 5 unearned runs in the 1st inning. Vandy wins by 1 in extras but was up 2 going into the bottom of the 9th.

a small play for Monday:

Wake +180 (vs. UVa) for 1/2 unit - Wake isn't good and UVa is the much better offensive teams but starting pitching gives them a chance in this one. UVa's third starter (Nick Howard) has not been crisp in recent outings and has given up a ton of hits. Wake is starting Austin Stadler, who started the year as their #1 guy. After getting moved down in the rotation due to some rough outings, he has pitched well in conference play against some good competition.

Yah...we were both on Wake early...that jump in the line was crazy but then again we've both seen stranger things with college baseball lines!

another swing and a miss last night as Wake loses 9-7. For today:

Miss St -115 (vs. Ole Miss) for 2 units - Bulldogs will start Soph Brandon Woodruff on the mound. Woodruff has a lot of potential and was injured earlier in the year but came back last week with a good outing, so should be fine against a Rebel offense that hasn't done much lately.

Woodruff didn't last long... Ross Mitchell shut them down tonight... Finally got a few clutch hits tonight, but still gotta have more from the bats

No he didn't and Mitchell stepped up big.

Ole Miss bats are an issue, they are hitting .217 in conference play. They have some quality arms but aren't going to go far this year if they don't get their offense in order.
