YTD Record: 43-21 for +26.00 units

didn't have time for the typical detailed write-ups but here is what I'm playing today, all small plays:

Georgia Tech -185 (vs. Clemson) for 1 unit - Clemson isn't a bad club but Tech has advantages across the board on them and shouldn't have an issue starting the series off with a win.

Ole Miss +155 (@ South Carolina) for 1 unit - Drew Pomeranz (Miss starter) is the reason for this play. He has had a great season so far and definitely appealing at a dog price. The two teams are similar offensively, Gamecocks have a much better pen, but the starting pitching edge is the reason for the play.

North Carolina +105 (@ Miami) for 1 unit - Miami's starter Chris Hernandez has had a couple of rough outings recently. Couple that with a patient and good hitting, though not powerful, Tar Heel offense and I think they are going to put some runs on the board. UNC's pen worries me, but their ace Matt Harvey should be able to go deep in the game.

OAKAS - betus has them during the regular season as well. Couple other books will have lines come playoffs.

1-2 yesterday as I lose both dog plays again, dropping 3 units. Not playing any of the games today.

Today?s plays:

Zona +240 (@ ASU) for 1 unit ? tough to go against the newly #1 Sun Devils, but a dog price like this for a decent Zona club, I had to give it a shot. Both clubs have good offenses, and after looking at the runs they put up game in and game out, its worth noting they have the #13 and #7 SOS in the country. No named starter for either team, though the pitching edge is definitely in ASU?s favor as they have questionable the best staff in college baseball. Zona?s pen is very good and better than most, just not ASU?s. Despite this feel a small play on Zona is well worth the risk. Game will likely be decided by a big inning from one club or the other, and given the Wildcat?s offense, it isn?t unlikely at all for them to be on the plus side of that equation.

Kansas St. -105 (@ Wichita St.) for 4 units ? too much offense from Kansas St. in this one. Besides for offense, Kansas St. also has distinct advantages in overall defense and relief pitching. The starters for both clubs tonight are questionable. The Wichita St. guy (Frosh Mateychick) has better #?s on the year, but has had 2 of his 4 starts against non-1A teams, including the last one where he was roughed up by Rogers State. Kansas State will be by far the best offense he has seen. Kansas State?s starter (Soph Bahramzadeh) was roughed up in his last outing as well, but as previously stated, the edge in pens for the Wildcats is key and shouldn?t be an issue if they need to contribute early in this game.

WKU -155 (vs. Kentucky) for 1 unit ? had a dog play on WKU three weeks ago in a mid-week game between these two. As stated for that game the offenses for both clubs are pretty even. Only WKU has named their starting pitcher (Edelen) and it is the same guy who started the prior match-up and had a decent performance. He was roughed up in his last outing against Louisville, but the Cardinals are a much more potent offense then Kentucky. Kentucky?s pitching staff has been in a bit of despair with one of their weekend starters out with mono. Quite a few relievers and potential mid-week starters saw action on Sunday. WKU on the other hand had Sunday off due to playing a double-header on Saturday. At not too pricey of a fav, WKU makes sense here with the advantages point to them.

That?s 2 plays for and 1 play against Wildcats for those tracking at home.

My apologies as my record had 10 losses disappear (typo I promise) at the beginning of this thread and then I didn?t catch it until now. Playing this one today:

Ville -140 (vs. WKU) for 3 units ? While WKU was in the 24-8 slugfest last night that lasted 3.5 hours, Ville didn?t have a game. So big factor is that WKU threw their best mid-week starter last night while the Cards have full use of their pen tonight. WKU has a good pen, but Louisville?s is definitely better. Last week in this match-up I took WKU partially due to a recent pitching slump Ville was in, but they have performed better in the games since. Cards haven?t named a starter but Senior Tyler Mathis has started the last two mid week games for them. He has a 2.35 ERA and .231 OBA in only 7 2/3 IP this year. The short amount of IP is indicative of how Ville handles mid-week games, utilizing numerous guys on their deep staff. It has worked as they have gone 7-1 in mid-week games this year (WKU is 9-4). Another note is that 5 times this year WKU has had two mid-week games back-to-back. In all but 1 of those sets, they won the first game while losing the second. Hilltoppers have a good offense, but Ville?s is just as potent and the better, fully-rested, staff makes this a decent play.
