I haven't seen a thread like this yet, so I thought I'd start one. Give your favorite bowl picks and why you like them. If you have any inside info being from the area or know who might be opting out, share that info as well....I'll start.

I like Tennessee +7. I haven't been all that impressed with Clemson. I think the line is inflated because of Clemson's reputation.
I also like Syracuse +7. Minny hasn't been all that great on the road. The Cuse has some decent wins, but they've tailed off towards the end of the year. This bowl in in NY. Give me the Cuse.
Gimme Illinois -1. Just a gut on this one.

Absolutely LOVE Air Force. During the Baylor/TCU game, I decided I was betting against Baylor in their bowl game. Poor decision making from the head coach and the qb. I think AF rolls.

Also like South Alabama. Pretty solid team that played very well at UCLA early in the season. This line is begging for WKU money. Unless the WKU qb isn't playing. Gotta check that.

I think Kansas puts up 50 and beats Arkansas. Huge motivational edge in this game.

Gotta love K St, too. Speaking of motivation... I believe the entire Alabama starting 22 is skipping the bowl game to prep for the NFL draft. Oh, and both kickers. All 3 kickers, if they have a kickoff specialist.

I don't post often but when I do, I'm usually fading a MAC team! I usually do better tailing Box & EZ than I do making my own picks.

But I Love San Jose to beat Eastern Michigan just like Liberty creamed this weak Mac team last year. Don't look at stats cause Mac teams stats are decievable as they play many Mac teams all year. Just look at the schedules both teams played & you'll see why I like SJS.

I'll be fading all 6 Mac teams in their bowl games & feel confident it will be profitable as it has been the last several years. And I'm gonna load up on the Spartans as it's my favorite bowl matchup of the year.

While I completely agree that the MAC was pretty bad again this year, be careful with SJ St. I loved them earlier this year, but after the loss to Fresno, their season turned for the worse. Especially the defense. Their last 5 games they allowed an average of 27.2 pts/game. While that doesn't seem HORRIBLE, all 5 opponents are 100th or worse in scoring average. And their last 2 games away from home, they gave up 35 to Utah St (which averaged 23 pts/game) and 43 to SD St (21 pts/game). And now they're going to Boise for their bowl game. Not sure that's enough to get them to return to early-season form. Oh, and they already beat up another directional Michigan this year, so they may not take the game very seriously, despite not winning a bowl game in a while.

Best of luck to you in the bowls. And if San Jose crushes them, I'll claim my account was hacked and I never wrote any of that. :0008

Thank you for posting that. Great resource. Hopefully they keep updating it. I only took a quick look at it, but I know Chris Rodriguez from Kentucky and Downs (I think that's his name) from UNC are both sitting out, and they're not on the list. But maybe they both announced after the last update 12/8.

So Kentucky is without Levis and Rodriguez. No wonder the total for their game with Iowa is 12 (give or take a couple points).

You're right about San Jose St, Smitty. I saw them play Fresno State from on the field and Fresno handled them pretty easily. San Jose St came into the game pretty cocky and they haven't been the same since.

Washington +4 over Texas.

Texas RB Bijan Robinson leaving for the NFL. Texas has a dozen players gone. This is purely a motivation play. I don't think the remaining players will be motivated much. Seems like players are abandoning the team.

I like E Mich over San Jose. This San Jose St team went downhill at the end of season bad. That is the reason I like E Mich a lot. And I know the Mac is bad. And If I am wrong, I'll be like Smitty. Thanks BA. I watched San Jose in Fresno and they were bad that night. Couldn't score. No way could I bet money on them. Only way to play this game for me is by taking E Mich or no bet at all.

Pound miss state! College football is a game of emotion! Many times the inferior team has won when they had a purpose or reason to play for. Examples- Purdue bs Ohio state the kid dying of cancer (Tyler Trent). Purdue won. Utah this year bs usc first game. Utah retired the numbers of 2 players who died, kids hand painted helmets and they beat usc, beautiful game! Usc played Boston college a few years ago and all the students wore red bandanas for the guy who ran in and saved like 15 lives during 9-11, Boston College won that game. Miss state lost their head coach! There isn’t a scenario where miss state loses this game! They have more motivation than any team playing a bowl game this year! It will be a max play for me! You

Going with Ohio -2.5 over Wyoming. I believe the Wyo team quit on the head coach. Fresno St beat Wyo 30-0 the last game of the season. Following that, several key players left the team. Wyo is mainly a running team. They lost their 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th string running backs. They don't pass much, but they lost their best receiver. Their defense isn't that good, and they lost their best cornerback and defensive end. I don't know how they will score or how they will stop Ohio from scoring.

My only apprehension is that the Ohio quarterback, who was MAC offensive player of the year, went out on Nov 15 with a torn ACL and his backup up is a pretty steep fall off.
