Tis the season for the College Bowl games! Over the years some of these games have been difficult to cap with players opting out of the bowl games! I also always ask myself, which teams will be motivated to play and win and which ones will not! I was going to say FSU would not be motivated, but they will play Georgia as a 14 point dog! What teams do you guys see that will not be motivated to play in this years bowl games??

I hate to say it Johnny, but I think Ohio State might be ripe for an upset. As of Noon today (Dec. 4th), they have 12 players enter the transport portal. (But only 2 are starters, including QB Kyle McCord). And the day isn't over!! Throw in the fact that they lost to Michigan and missed out on the playoffs AND will have a new starting QB plus all the draft eligible starters who might opt-out...I don't see how Ryan Day can get these guys ready to play a very good Missouri. I think Missouri will be pumped to play Ohio State. That line already dropped from 6.5 to 3.5. I normally don't like to bet a game a month before they play, but I think I'll get on Missouri before that line completely disappears!

Wow I was thinking the same thing but I just can’t go against Ohio State unless I take Missouri in a teaser with the points 😂 Ohio St 27 Missouri 24

My buddy is a huge FSU fan. He said because they didn't make PLAYOFFS, a lot of the horses are opting out. That partially explains the high line.

What about Georgia? I cannot see them being motivated for the game either lol…They were top 3 all year long and lose in the conference game to Alabama only to not make the 4. I really think they should expand it to 6!

exactly. neither team wants to be there. this will end up being a battle of 3rd stringers. which, i assume, greatly favors georgia.

the playoffs are (finally) expanding to 12 next year. it was supposed to be this year, but in-fighting amongst the conference commissioners pushed it back. great job, fellas. so glad only 4 were allowed in this year. fucking greedy assholes continue to fuck over this sport.

100%. when i saw 6.5 on sunday, i loved mizzou. then i saw 2.5 yesterday and was pissed i didn't jump on it the day before. the real question.. does this take into account harrison not playing? because, as far as i know, he hasn't said anything yet, but gotta figure there's no way he's playing.

while i was typing this, i figured i'd check the line again... and now i see mizzou is -1. fuck. feels stupid to bet it now, but i suppose it could go up to -3. not happy about it, but i think i gotta lock in some at -1.

Yeah Smitty, Missouri might be the favorite by gametime. I don't see Harrison playing...or Henderson...or Egbuka...but that won't hurt too bad, because the back-up skill guys are all really good. But having a QB making his first college start in a big Bowl game vs a very good D in Missouri might be a problem for Ohio State.
Frankly, on first look I didn't see any Big Ten teams that I liked.

after a quick glance through the games... first impression... maybe rutgers. the guys from miami aren't going to be excited to come up north to play in the cold. and rutgers has a decent defense.

and, this is going to be painful if nothing changes my mind... but probably iowa. i can't imagine the guys from tennessee are going to be excited to play in that slog of a game. but if iowa shows up, and they usually do... they could win that game as a big dog. i mean, it will be a 4-3 final, but a win is a win.

Ironically it was the ACC that didn’t want it to expand 😬

Johnny, I have done very well with HT and live bets in the bowl match ups. It’s hard pregame to tell who wants to be there but it usually doesn’t take long to find out. And historically nothing said at halftime will change any of that. If you see it, trust it, and pound it!

damn, USU now -1. that's an interesting one. georgia st lost their last 5 games. oddly, i often like betting on teams that come into the bowl game on a losing streak. utah st needed double OT to beat a shitty NM team to become bowl eligible.

the computers seem to have utah st about 2.5 - 4.5 points better, so the line was adjusted towards georgia st from the start, and now it's drifting back.
gotta figure the aggies will be a little more comfortable in boise than the fellas from georgia.

imagine losing your last 5 and getting sent to boise. "yup, we pretty much deserved this."

thank you for the heads up, ej. i'll keep an eye on that one. if nothing else, assuming it's not a blizzard, i'll be looking to play the USU TT over.

Teams with portal transfer starting QBs typically do not fare well in Bowl games, Oklahoma loses Gabriel to Oregon, Ohio State rumbling stumbling QB entered the portal too!!

Keep an eye on first year head coaches in their first bowl game too!!
