Catholic U v. Mormon U. Will God (if he/she exists) show any favortism? Irish won last year so Morons are due, eh.

Both coaches are on the hot seat. I expected Crowton to be mentioned amongst the list of young turks in the West: Tedford, Meyer, Hawkins, et al. He needs to win or else he's gone after the season. Willingham, well, I never expected him to make this list but he is a quality coach, unfortunately he has the weight of expectations at South Bend.

Crowton making some coaching changes to get the ship righted on O. QB will go to John Beck and he's had a good camp. This was a real weakness lasy year due to inj. and inexpr.

WR's will be much improved. Cougar wideouts have been sub-par of late, but this will change. Watkins looks to be a diff. maker on a much speedier staff that has a good infusion of talent. TE Coats should breakout into a dominant force. TE's also have good depth.

RB's suffered much attrition recently but things look promising. Tahi and Brown give them a "thunder-n-lightning" combo.

OL has potential and a new coach and looks to be a positive force .

Irish have promising QB in Quinn, though he's still inexpr. WR''s are solid with height and speed. OL should be excl. RB Grant is good back but doesn't provide a home run threat.

Cougar D under HC Mendenhall will blitz and stunt all night. DL is their strenghth, evidenced by moving Poppinga from DE to OLB. LB's are suspect. Secondary is better than most might expect. Good speed and physicality.

ND D's also strong on teh line. Tuck is a true pro prospect . LB's are solid but DB's are inexpr. and tihis is where the Cougars can take advantage.

St's are pretty even.

Cougars win the Holy Grail...I mean, Bowl.
