Two more good games last night.

Today's line:

OSU +178
Rice -191

Looks like both teams are going to go with their #1 starters.

Tonight's Game / Pick

Tonight's Game / Pick

As noted by the starting pitchers? stats from above, a slight advantage is awarded to Rice and Degerman.

Bullpens are pretty even in my mind. Rice has both Cox and St. Clair rested and available. These guys are usually pretty lights out. Gunderson for OSU is available. This guy is a great closer and is regularly used for 2 innings of work.

I wrote yesterday how Rice had the advantage offensively. However, they are now in scoreless in their last 14 innings. Advantage nullified.

OSU obviously has the momentum. Like yesterday, I think Rice will be playing ?not to lose?. Not a good way to play against a team like OSU who has been playing with nothing to lose and winning.

I think OSU being a big dog is huge value. I'm on them for the second straight day.

Another winner tonight. 6-1 over the last four days.

23 straight scoreless innings. Unreal for a Rice team w/ a lot of talent.

OSU gets a much needed day off tomorrow, before facing UNC and Miller on Saturday. Buck will need to step up to the levels other OSU pitchers have been doing the last few days.

LMM, it was hard to go against them each night. But watching them against Miami, Rice just didn't seem like the team they were suppose to be. Every team goes through slumps, they hit a really bad one at a really bad time.

I believe UNC has the overall advantage due to having a better offense. Both pitching staffs are really good and were the top 2 entering the CWS in my mind. I don't think it is a huge advantage though. They will be tough games to pick, but I think UNC will be the favorite of the two teams.
