Ok....I look at this game and I think Arizona all the way....Colo not good on the road, Ariz is very hot etc. Then I take a closer look and several concerns come to mind. So I am looking for someone to talk me into my original gut feeling of Ariz, as I am starting to think Colo which will make me pass.
They split the 4 game series in Ariz, one of the two Colo wins was over Patterson 12-1.
Colo has actually won 3 and lost 3 in their last 6 on the road overall.
Jennings is 7-3 in his last 10 and is 2-1 with a 2.41 ERA in his last 3.
Patterson on the other hand is 1-4 and his team is 3-4 in games he started this year. He has given up 43 hits in 37 innings with a whopping 6.45 ERA.
Colorado has seen him twice this year and beaten him both times 6-2 recently in Colo and 12-1 earlier in Ariz.
Meanwhile Jennings has pitched against Ariz three times already this year, winning 6-2 over Patterson in Colo, 8-3 over Schilling in Colo and lost his first game in Ariz to Schilling 11-2.
Any other Diamondback pitcher and I would be all over them tonight, but PATTERSON SCARES THE HELL OUT OF ME vs a re-surging Jennings!
any thoughts?
Ray?
anyone?
Thanks,
YAZ
