At first glance the picks seemed easy to me, Rams and Chargers, but after reviewing the numbers it is not that easy.

Jets @ Chargers- I am starting to think that the JETS can hang close and possibly win this game outright. Here's why: The Chargers have had a phenomenal season, long winning streaks, almost beating Colts on road, etc., but after reviewing their games this season they have been consistently outgained in total yardage. You may say well they still have won haven't they? And you are right, they have. Thanks to big plays and key turnovers. The JETS on the otherhand have had their image tarnished by a crucial loss to the Rams and a beat down by the Patriots. But after careful review I've noticed that the JETS have one of the top scoring defenses in the league. They also are very tough against the run, which spells trouble for the Chargers. They played Pittsburgh tough a few weeks back, and limited the best rushing team in the NFL in their ground attack. Pennington and Martin and Moss may just be able to make enough plays to keep this one close. And am not worried about the Chargers shitting on the Jets defense because I don't see it happening.
I am changing my mind from a prior post to JETS for these reasons.

Prediction: Jets 24-Chargers 20

Rams @ Seattle
This game is the ugliest playoff matchup on the board. At first glance I figured I would take the point and the Rams, and I am sticking with that decision. This game will come down to one man, and one man only, and that man is........................MIKE "asshole" Martz. The reason it will come down to Martz is surprisingly simple. If the Rams run the ball with faulk and jackson to start the game early and often that will open up huge plays through the air. Seattle's rush defense is horrid. If Martz continues insisting on passing the ball early and Bulger struggles then so will the Rams. The Rams have a stronger defensive unit. I think Martz makes the right coaching decision for once and runs the ball against the Hags putrid run defense.

Prediction- Rams 31- Seattle-19

Seattle has been horrendous against the number, covering only 2 of the last 10 games. Asking them to cover, even a mere 4 at HOME, is asking too much for me to swallow. I was on them when these two met earlier and I watched St.L rip the secondary to pieces in the 4th qtr. I lost that day and that was the last time I bet on Seattle.
Conversely, asking St. Louis to cover for you is a fifty-fifty proposition....depending how that clown "martz" decides to handle the offense. He's demonstrated an ability to effectively screw up clock management, upset game plans, and smirk on the sidelines as he does it.

Enough is Enough....PASS

I'm working on a writeup for San Diego/Jets and will try to post tomorrow....really like the Chargers in this one....bought it at -5' Sunday, more at -6' this week.
