Computer Guys, I need Help....

My laptop is having problem coming out of sleep mode. It has reached the point that about every day I have to manually restart multiple time before it works. Here are a few questions I am wondering about.

1) Is this virus, hardware, or software(ive read vista can cause this:shrug: )

2) I did not make recovery disks when originally bought, can I still make them or will the disks now include all I have put on the computer.

3) If recovery is what is needed where is the best place to find the disk.

FYI- Compaq presareo f500, windows vista, 2 years old, first problem I've had.
Any other suggestion would be great, thanks guys.

Seriously, Compaq is really terrible. I know you want a solution here and not a ranking of how shitty your computer is.

My advice to you is find someone who builds computers (preferably not a business - an individual you might find - say at church or a regular poker game)

Let them piece it out and get you decent RAM and a motherboard with a reputable CPU. This will cost you about $300 total.

If $700 is not a lot of money to you, have someone take your info off your hard drive if you can't do it and buy a Toshiba Laptop. This isn't the best computer ever, but it has way fewer issues than any Compaq.

Last thing - We bought several Mac computers at work and they sing like a hummingbirds as they are 95% immune to ALL viruses since viruses are generally written for PC's. The only reason we bought a few Mac's to replace PC's is because we have two of them in different offices and they are faster than any computer in our building and they were purchased from 1998! They do not get bogged down and you don't have to perform maintenance on them like a PC. Next week I am buying a Mac.

Consider a Compaq a Yugo car.
Yugo made cheap cars by using cheap parts and cheap labor. The cars broke down all the time and don't run because they were cheap.

Consider a MAC a Toyota Camry.
They use high quality parts and high quality labor - Toyota's break down too, but rarely do they have something seriously wrong with them and some of them run for years without a problem.

I am not saying MAC is perfect, but I am saying do your research and stop buying shit.
