computer help please......going crazy........

I have a Dell with wds xp os...........my problem I can connect to the net with DSL but when trying log log to secure sites it always says......."this page cannot be displayed"

I have tried changing my firewall settings.......but thatdoesnt seem to help.......its like my pc wont let me log on to any secure sites....

Any ideas????

did you restart your computer after changing the firewall settings? you can also try a system restore to a date in which your computer was not having these problems.
