I have no idea how they did it, but somehow the kids have got something on the desktop they use called "Aurora". It's just an annoying pop up ad about every 3 mins or so. I can't find a way to get rid of it and I have tried Ad-Aware and I see nothing in the program list that looks like it.

Any ideas :cursin:

Get your own computer and forbid any kid to touch it. From my personal experience they will pirate music, download all kinds of obnoxious crapware like AOL Instant Messenger and god knows what all.

But as for your specific question, I haven't got a clue. Good luck!

I use my laptop that nobody else does, the desktop is for the wife and kids. The problem is these Aurora pop ups show up even if they are just playing a game off-line, very annoying little piece of shit and i wish the developers have the sack to give out their name and address.

I'd download WinPatrol (free) works like Microsofts Task Manager but easier to use. Go to active tasks and kill it...then check start up tasks and remove if there....will probably give you more info on where to unistall it. GL
