My java in internet explorer is not working properly, I downloaded another version (sun) and it worked a little better, but not everything.

How can I fix my internet explorer?

Blitz, I know I can't fill Redking's shoes, but give this a try.

-Click "Start" and select "Control Panel" from the Settings menu.
-Double click the Add/Remove Programs Icon
-Select Internet Explorer and Internet Tools from the listed programs, and click the Add/Remove button
-A window titled Internet Explorer and Internet Tools will pop up. Select the Repair Internet Explorer option and click OK
-Another window will appear, and ask for permission to reboot your computer once the repairs are finished. Click YES
-A progress window will appear duing the repair process. When complete, you will be prompted to restart your computer. Click the YES button to restart.

The only reason I knew this is I had this issue about 6 months ago and copied what the technical guru sent me. I will defer everything else to Redking. Good Luck

Hey Captain, dont sell yerself short! That's not bad advice! :D

Try using your Windows Update feature to download the newest version of IE and make sure you select the option to download the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine. After it downloads and installs, reboot your machine!

I hope that helps. Lemme know if you need more help! :)

How about this question?
I'm running Windows 2000. When I try to open a folder on my desktop, I get an error message saying "explorer exe. has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program."
When I click on a program shortcut, everything works fine. It's just trying to open a folder that causes an error message. A friend thinks I may have some spyware locked on to something. Ran the entire Norton System Works with no luck.

Any ideas??

Thanks,

"Joe"
