Just got married and we have just received a copy of our wedding pictures on a CD.

When the CD is in the D drive it has a autoplay and starts a slide show of our pictures. We don't have power point (only thing I know that has a slide show), and we can't pause the screen. each picture is on the screen for 2 maybe 3 seconds before it fades to the next, music is in the back ground while the CD is playing - We went to KINCOS (sp) to make copies of the pictures but were not able to pull up the pictures, I tried to right click on the d drive while having MY COMPUTER open, in order to explore the CD, but that did not work either. We have made several copies of the CD for our family. The only way to stop the CD while its playing is to hit the Esc. key.

I'm looking for any and all suggestions

Thanks in advance

First, congrats tigerfan!

Secondly, there are a decent amount of programs that can make slideshows with pictures and sounds....not just Powerpoint. What I'm thinking is happening is the CD has autoplay (pretty standard) tied to a compiled file which contains the pictures and music.

tigerfan, you have to find out who made the slideshow and ask them for the original pictures. I can't help you unless I know what program or what type of file the slideshow is and even then there's no guarentee of decompiling the slideshow to access the individual pictures inside.

You could let the slideshow play and use a screenshot program to take screenshots and thus each picture, but then the picture quality will be horrible for printing...

If you can get more info, tigerfan, I can give ya more advice.
