Computer question about that helicopter game

If I have the game up on my screen, then disconnect from the internet (dial-up), I can continue playing until I close the window. This doesnt make any sense to me since I am not connected and cant access the site that has the game on it. Is this normal, or should I be concerned about this?

its normal...no concern

Java holds it in memory until you close that window, you would only drop from the game when your connection goes down.
