Computer question

This should be easy enough but I'm not sure how to go about it -- when I go to a search engine such as Google and type in a letter, all of the searches I've performed with that letter appears as an option in a drop down of sorts. How do I clear those contents? The list is getting long and I'm just sick of it.

highlight them and press delete

or go to control panel then Internet connections to Internet options to content tab to auto complete and clear forms

Thank you, worked perfectly -- went with the first route and did it manually, because I didn't want to clear all forms.
