Looked up a couple on google and will post them below, but before trying those,
when the new window is loading
a window will open and it will start to load
press ESC
Then F5
This may work as a quick fix.
Below are the results from the google search.
Good Luck

Some URLs will display a white blank page when loaded, and the status bar at the bottom of the screen says "Done". However, I can go into Netscape and load the page using the same URL. When loaded in Netscape, the Address Bar will show a different URL. though. I can do a "copy" of the URL address in Netscape, go back into IE and paste the URL in the Address Bar and the web site will load. For example: in IE
http://my.attbi.com/ loads a blank page. In Netscape the same URL loads the web site with an URL address of
http://my.attbi.com/cgi-bin/mtwn/.
I finally figure it out! For those having the same problem, I. E. 6
"Tools, Internet Options/Security/Custom Levels" "Allow META Refresh" must be Enabled

Wendy asks: My problem (which is very frustrating) is - when I click on a link to some web pages all I get is a blank page. (It says 'Done' in the corner so I know that's all I'm going to get.)
A. With this one, I'd be inclined to think that IE is corrupted. My first choice would be to run a repair as followed:
1. Go to 'Start' > 'Setting' > 'Control Panel'
2. Select 'Add/Remove Programs'
3. In the 'Add/Remove Programs Properties' window, search for and select 'Microsoft Internet Explorer and Internet Tools'
4. Select the Add/Remove' button below and another window will pop up. 5. In this window, select: 'Repair'
6. Wait and restart your PC at prompt.
If this procedure does not work, you've got no choice but to upgrade to a later version eg. IE 5.5 . You can try completely re-installing IE 5 but it is usually a waste of time.
IE 5.5 is available from most older PC Magazine disks. Only upgrade to Internet Explorer 6 if you already got 5.5 on (as you don't have any other choice). IE 6 has the nasty habit of going corrupt after a certain time when installed with Win 98/ME (thanks Microsoft!).
