Im using IE and on my toolbars i have the basic things. Back-Stop-Favorite-History and so on. I downloaded Yahoo messenger and now i have a little icon i guess on my toolbar right next to Edit with Notepad. I got rid of Messenger hoping that thing would go away but it hasnt. How do i get rid of it? It has the Red Y with the yellow smiley face below the Y. Thanks...

try this, put your pointer on your toolbar, see if the messenger thingy is checked, if it is uncheck it. I think this is what you are talking about.

good luck,

You mean a browser button don't you?

If so...right click on any browser button...choose Customize... find the Yahoo icon in the list at the right, click Remove. Gone.

If it's added a whole new toolbar to your browser there's a similar way to get rid of that too.

By the way, a while back I downloaded an extra toolbar... forget the name of it. But you could customize it so that your browser buttons were colored with a pattern, whatever. Anyways, it was Spyware. Avoid downloading stuff like that. Really wish I could remember what it was called.
