5-1 in the Playoffs combining Plays and Leans!
:00hour
Picked the Giants Outright last week...But lost My Play to ruin my perfect New Year record because the Colts couldn't hold up their end of the bargain in the teaser.
I'm not one to make a play, just to make a play at the end of the season like this week or in the Super Bowl, but I think this one will cash my ticket.
Small Play Only:
2 game 6 point Teaser:
Green Bay Packers -1.5
over Giants
&
San Diego Chargers +20
over Patriots
I loved the Giants chances last week against Dallas but this week might be too tall an order for this traveling road team to overcome...the Giants will be able to run the ball if they keep it between the tackles because the Packers LB'ers are tough to get outside on...but overall I don't like the Giants offense matching up against and opportunistic Packers Defense...on the flips side...Ryan Grant was dealt by the Giants for a 6th round pick at the end of training camp and will likely want to prove the G-Men wrong with his play on the field...but...the single most reason I like the Packers to win this game is the favorable matchup they have with Brett Favre and his passing game against a bruised and battered Giants secondary...the only way the Giants can stop the Packers passing attack is if they get enough pressure from their front 4 without using their fire-zone blitz package...the Packers are 5-0 ATS L 5 as a home fav between 3.5-10 and 7-1 ATS L 8 as a favorite...the Giants are 8-1 SU last 9 and 6-0 ATS last 6 road games.

The Chargers have a few injuries.. but L.T. will go and even if he doesn't they have 2 backs Turner and Sproles capable of doing some damage...if Rivers doesn't play and Volek gets the start the team will turn more to their running game which they will attempt to do anyway to keep the Pats offense off the field...the biggest reason I'm taking the generous 20 in this teaser is the weather (cold, snow and windy) which will hurt the Patriots awesome passing game and keep this one closer than what it would be if the weather were perfect...I'm not saying much about the Pats offense because everyone knows what they are capable of but the Chargers defense is capable of slowing the Pats offense down a bit in inclement weather...San Diego is 4-0 ATS last 4 road, 7-0 ATS Last 7 following a ATS win, 4-1 ATS versus teams with a winning record and 7-0 ATS last 7 following a SU win...the Pats are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 Conf Champ games but just 0-4 ATS last 4 overall and 1-4 ATS last 5 vs the AFC...the inclement weather is the sole reason I'm taking the 20 points...but...the Pats make it 18-0 and advance to the Bowl against the Packers.
