I'll start with my alma mater.Joe Greene,Cedric Hardman,Abner Hayes,Spider Lockhart,Ray Renfoe,and many more.
Mean Green +32.5 over Oklahoma
North Texas has won the Sun belt Conf the past 2 yrs.I know all about the weak conf. But NT has played one of the toughest non-conference schedules in the nation the past 2 yrs.
Lyr they lost to Texas 27-0.NT sacked Simms and co. 7 times and held UT scoreless in the 2nd half. And No,Mack did not sub until the last 5 minuts.NT defense stopped UT dead.NT couldn't get their offense going because star Qb Hall hurt his shoulder in the 1st qrt and was out for the season.
NT did lose to Bama 33-7,lost to TCU 16-10 and Arizona 14-9.Zona 2 weeks later scored 28 pts vs Washington.Point is NT plays tough defense.
The yr before NT lost to OU 37-10.
But NT covered all the above games except Bama.NT's is 9-4 ats on the road.
Hall is back fighting Smith for the Qb position. All Smith did was lead the mean green to a Bowl win and has been undefeated since Oct.
Cobb is a solid RB and NT'a has some speedsters at WR.OL is the problem. New and weak.OU defense will eat them up.
But Mean green defense is solid.Kennedy is on almost every All American team at DT.He is a one man wrecking crew.Stops runs, sacks, etc
LB's and DB's are all tough.
OU has been pre-ranked No1.Defense is one of the best.Loaded with size and athletes.
OU offense is a little questionable. But has blue chippers everywhere.
But I think Dickey plays that ball control offense. Will run between the tackles, throw short passes to his RB's and TE and throws the "bomb".Yes,Dickey has guys like Branch and Thrash that can fly.He will air it out.Hall and Smith can both get the job done at Qb.Not sure who will start.Big battle between them.
I think OU wins this game.NT's offense will have a hard time vs OU's defense. But I think NT will get a score here and there.OU will score vs the mean green but will get stopped also.
I see NT covering the +32.5 pts. I see a 27-10,33-10, or something like that.If NT's offensive line collaspes and doesn't give the defense a break then OU could dominate.

I'm going to post this and then come back and do the Conn game

Conn -5.5 over Indiana
Best game.
Conn is loaded.Esp at Qb and Rb.Orlovsky is a future No.1 draft choice. He has a rifle for an arm.At 6'5 he see's over the defense. He has a 60% passing eff. and threw for 2,488 yds. In the Iowa St win he had scoring drives of 88,80,and 96 yds.
Conn OL is almost all back and they have "size".They did lose their TE to injury 2 weeks ago. Also Orlovesky lost most of his WR's lyr.
But Conn also has one of the best RB's in the east in Caulley. This 5'7 waterbug was 10th in the nation in rushing, scored 16 Td's with 1,247 yds.And he missed the Ga Tech and Miami game.
Conn offense will be very hard to stop with this balanced attack.Stop Caulley and Orlovsky will disect your secondary.Stop the pass and Caulley will score.

Conn defense is also solid.DL is loaded. They had great numbers but a lot of those were against waeker teams.LB's are athletic and quick.Weakness lies in the secondary.Little depth. But Conn pass defense did stop some big teams like BC and Iowa St.
Indiana is still rebuilding.Lovecchio is the new Qb.Lyr in opening game they just beat William and mary by 8.They ended their season by losing to Illi,Northwestern,Mich St,Penn St and Purdue and giving up 45,41,56,58,and 34 pts.
That's a poor defense. And with only half of their defense coming back I see the Hoosiers having many problems stopping Caulley and Orlovsky.
And don't be fooled by the OL and DL's.Conn is bigger.
Conn is playing in their new home so they will be really pumped up.Indiana has won 2 road games the past 2 yrs.
Conn rolls here and wins this by 2 Td's.And Conn can't wait for BC at home.

Best bet Conn -5.5
Will post a few more tomr.

Bear, sorry didn't write you back last time. Our boy Timmy is in trouble huh?But I thought I read the players were all lying.Whats up with that.He went to my HS so he has to be honest.[ha]
I like Conn. tomr.
Our football coach went to UConns football camp.He worked it.Everyone talks about BC coming to town.Conn wants them so bad.I hope they realize they have other teams to play 1st.
But no one has seen this Conn offense.Iowa St still can't figure out what hit them lyr.And Conn ended their season scoring 61,63,38,and 37 pts.I know they were against bad teams
But Rentschler field will be pumped up big time.
The following week Conn comes to Army.My boys are in big trouble. GL.

two of my top plays saturday

two of my top plays saturday

and i`m glad you like `em......n texas has been oh so good to me.....i have become a big fan of that stifling defense....hoping that can keep them in it because, realistically,we can`t expect the offense to do much.......i expect the "d" to play well...they usually play the big boys tough....

uconn`s gonna surprise a few folks this year...

excellent job....g.l.

I don't know if they'll surprise people.....i mean, i knew they were good last year...but can they keep up the good play from last year....???

I'm just hoping they don't have a letdown season?

i'll look into that UCONN play meself now.

the only thing i see in UCONN's favour is that in Indiana's defense, (from website) "it's hard to see how this defense is going to come close to stopping anyone in the Big Ten. There are seven players with starting experience, but this is still a very, very young defense. The front seven is undersized and there's no depth whatsoever. The secondary should be greatly improved."

i don't think UCONN will win, but they have a good chance of covering the spread.

TV,

UCONN is favored by 6, so if they cover, they have to win.

Good luck.

stoopid me, yeah, didn't originally see the line posted in here.....but lookin at Indiana's road record over the last three and seeing them get blown out of almost all their road games last year, i threw down 1/2 unit on it.

Uconn and N Texas both were in the top ten covering the spread last year year with uconn covering about 80% and n texas just over 70% of the time. both seem like really strong plays .

good luck

Also like Wisky over West Vir -3.5
WV has a new O-line.And a new starter just got hurt on Wed.Wisky defense will win the battle of the lines.West Vir replacing star RB and has major holes on defense.Barry and co will have a field day.Wisky defense should shut down WV.Line should be -7 to 9. Strong play on Barry and co.

OSU +8 over Neb
After beating them for the 1st time in 41 yrs everyone is all over the cowboys. But Neb has 6 new coaches.OSU has Fields,Woods and Bell.To much offense for the Huskers to handle.Neb will score on OSU defense but not enough.
Rice +4 over Houston.
Henderson and Herm are 2 good qb's.That spread option running game will eat up Coogs defense.Rice was 6th in the nation in rushing.Coogs have new Qb, and weak defense.Rice defense is weak also. But I'll take ball control team here.Rice wins this outright.
Buffalo +12 over Rutgers
Lyr Buffs upset Rutgers 34-11.Yr before that Rutgers won 59-0.Buffs have almost everyone back.Leeper who gained 150 yds vs Rutgers lyr was MAC frosh of the yr.Seeky is a pretty good Qb.OL should protect him from RU defense.
Rutgers has been a big time disappointment.Schaino came here from Miami. But this team has been in turmoil since day 1.
Rutgers has more athletes and talent.Playing at home with revenge on their mind. Both coaches are a combined 7-39 in there schools. Both teams ended their seasons with 9 or 10 losses in a row.
Rutgers is missing leading RB Fayson today.Hart is an avg Qb.Lb's are good.Their stud is nate jones one of the best KR in the country.
Buffs have to kick away from him. He has had 2 100 yd returns,8 over 50 yds.
But Buffalo has its OL back and top 5 defensive players.
I'll grab the double digits numbers and figure Leeper scores a few TD's.Rutgers wins but only by a few.

Am taking Colorado St -2
USC +4
Fresno +20
for smaller plays
best bet Conn -5.5
Wisky next
North texas

TV...I know you made a lot on the mean green lyr.
Bigtyme..your right, both schools ats records are great.
SAT scores at North Texas are a little higher then UConn's though.
Goat, how are you.How are all those little "kidd" ones doing? Is grandpa Goat taking care of them.I'm taking Buffalo today for a small price.I know there at the bottom of your MAC.

GL to everyone today.way to many games.

Good to see you again Box

Good Luck on your plays today. I like Connecticut(not as much as you) but always good to know I am on a play you like. It makes me feel a whole lot better as I consider you one of the best NCAA cappers on this board and in our other "family, as in godfather" board. :D

Good Luck today and for the season
