Connecticut on a neutral court is a DD winner in this game. They still may be....What we know for sure is that CT will control the boards handily. They have played a tougher brand of defense in an arguably tougher conference. They score 7 more ppg than MS while giving up the same on D.
With that, CT is developing scoring muscle as they progress through the tourney.
S Robinson is becoming a force capable of 20+ at any time and is a freak leaper. Kemba Walker will be getting the green light after his performance v Purdue and can go for 20....AJP hot and cold but if average will be around 15-20 ( attention to KW will take a little pressure off Price). Jeff Adrien and Thabeet should be in double figures in both rebounds and points etc etc. Austrie will be near perfect at the end of the game from the stripe and the ball will be in his hands.
CT leads shooting ..48% to MS...45%
CT shooting D 38%...............MS 41%
Blocks: CT 273...............MS 99
CT leads the Country in NOT FOULING and should get to the stripe much more than MS
CT a/t ratio is better and senior experience will play an increasingly more important role as tourney progresses.
I think MS big G Sutan will face a much tougher task than he has all year in Thabeet and will be back to his season average of about 10 (he may eat 1 or 2 as well). If MS draws Thabeet out CT still has Adrien, Robinson and Edwards to a lesser extent(all tough defenders)
I like CT offensively, defensively, experience, rebounding etc........Play is CT
(Jerome Dyson WILL dress for the game and is cleared to warm up with the team!)
